Report Highlights

The key areas of M&A activity have been the takeover of Sesame Group and Pantheon Financial by Friends Provident. This is a relatively new movement in the market, taking advantage of the changes that came into force under 2005' s depolarisationlegislation which allows life companies to own IFAs.

Partnerships are developing to give providers an inroad into new markets, either through partnering with distribution networks or local providers
