Abstract
This Financial Insights report analyzes how U.S. banks are approaching the
challenge of improving their performance management capabilities. This report
is based on primary research Financial Insights conducted in 2005, interviewing
decisions makers at tier 1 U.S. banks. According to Jeanne Capachin, research
vice president, Global Banking, "Our research provides insight into how
institutions view their performance capabilities and what they are planning to
do to improve their ability to measure performance. There is no common road map
U.S. banks are following to improve performance management capabilities, but
all see investment in performance management as a key initiative and a
foundation from which they can grow and manage their businesses more
effectively."
