Abstract
This IDC study includes worldwide basestation semiconductor revenue forecasts
through 2010. It covers key semiconductor categories for baseband processing
and transceiver and power amplifier functions in 2G, 2.5G, 3G, and 3.5G
basestations (and node Bs). This document also outlines key assumptions and
major trends affecting this semiconductor segment and provides a vendor matrix
comparing the relative share strength of key semiconductor vendors.
"The basestation semiconductor market continues to expand at a modest rate as
the industry migrates from 2G/2.5G infrastructure to 3G/3.5G infrastructure.
The industry is expected to grow at a 7.8% CAGR through 2010." - Flint
