Abstract
In the past, the Brazilian PC market was burdened with heavy taxes, leading to
the rise of the gray market. This has been hindering the growth of many PC
companies in Brazil. However, the Brazilian government has taken several
measures to promote its IT industries, such as its efforts to reduce taxes. In
addition, as Brazilian incomes are rising, the demand for PCs is expected to
continue booming, creating new market opportunities for PC vendors. This
report will analyze Brazil' s social and economic structure and its impact on
the country' s PC market, and also examine market segmentation, product
structure, price point, and distribution channels in a bid to identify the
future development trends and opportunities in the Brazilian PC market.
