Abstract
In 2004, a global study by RBR revealed that the market for deposit automation
(' no-envelope' deposits of cash and cheques through customer operated
terminals) was on the verge of taking off in a number of geographies - in
particular in Europe and North America. Three years later, a new study by RBR
shows that the earlier growth predictions are indeed beginning to materialise.
120 banks participated in the new study between October and December 2006 - of
which over 80 were interviewed and profiled.
